Terry was born and raised in Haileybury,
Ontario. Terry played his AAA midget hockey with the New Liskeard Cubs of the Great North Midget Hockey League. He was
drafted 17th overall by the Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario
Hockey League. After playing for the Wolves for five seasons,
Terry was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the fourth round.
He played a number of exhibition games with the NHL Leafs, and also
played three seasons with the AHL’s St. John’s Maple Leafs.
Terry finished his playing career in Germany.
Terry is currently employed by the Marathon Ontario Provincial
Police Detachment, and resides with his family in Marathon.
Shane Hayes
Assistant Coach
Shane was raised in Flin Flon, Manitoba.Shane played his AAA midget hockey for North Battleford of
the Saskatchewan AAA Midget Hockey League.He then went on to play Jr. A Hockey for the Flin Flon
Bombers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League where he played in
a Centennial Cup National Championship, and then the Lebret Eagles
(also SJHL).Shane
finished his career playing for the University of Saskatchewan
Huskies.
Shane is currently employed by Williams Mine in the environment
department, and resides in Marathon with his family.
Spencer Verdiel
Assistant Coach
Spencer comes to the Eagles after
growing up in Timmins, Ontario. Spencer played AAA midget hockey
for the Timmins Majors of the Great North Midget Hockey League.
After midget, Spencer went on to play Jr. A Hockey for the Timmins
Golden Bears, continuing on to the Rayside-Balfour Sabrecats of the
Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League, and then to Halifax for the
Maritime Junior A Hockey League. Spencer finished his playing
career with Laurentian University
Spencer is
currently employed with Pukaskwa National Park as a park warden, and
resides in Marathon.
